ABOUT THE ARTIST

TOLPIYINE SIMBOLA

Tol-pi-yiné Simbola is a Native American metalsmith from Picuris Pueblo in New Mexico. He resides in Pojoaque Pueblo and goes by "Red Sun Jewelry". Tolpiyine Simbola has been making jewelry on and off since he was 12 years old. That was also the first year the artist was accepted into the Santa Fe Indian Market. He won the youth fellowship when 18.

Simbola is self taught and prides himself on intricate and complex designs. His interest in architecture allows the metal to speak for itself.
